The forcast for the weekend is breezy but cross off here at Felixstowe :( With lighter winds today we had time for a bit of a lay in after a busy week at work, then we biked to Landguard again for breakfast. Then at 12:30 I headed to The Dip where the wind was west - dead offshore and it seemed fairly light :( so I rigged the 9.4 and took out the longboard, no sooner had I set off the wind switched to wsw and picked up !! I had a nice beat to the Manor Martello tower going right out to the shipping lane and was out with loads of yachts including a few really old boats :) I thought the wind was going to pick up too much for the 9.4 - 20 kts gusts at times but it never got too much and I had some nice long reaches back even if the sea got a bit bumpy. After 70 mins out the water staying dry !!! I returned to The Dip as the wind turned west again, I spotted Roger and Maureen Vickers on the prom and had a nice chat with them :) So tomorrow brings the same wsw but stronger so might make the trip to Point Clear ?
